Volunteering at the Ulster County Historical Society is a great way to learn more about history while helping to preserve the past. Meeting new people, learning and sharing information, and making a real contribution to the Society are just a few of the benefits volunteers can receive for their time and effort.
We welcome all who would like to volunteer—retirees, students, full-time working people who may only be available to help out for specific events, people who wish to learn new skills, or anyone wishing to make a contribution to the community. Some of our current needs are:
• Serving on the Board of Trustees
• Transcribing old documents
• Becoming a docent for our Bevier House Museum
• Helping on days when we have programs and events
• Preparing mailings
• Gardening
