Past Transgressions: True Crime and Tensions of Early Ulster County

October 5 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Step into the darker corners of Ulster County’s past with County Historian Eddie Moran. In this compelling and eerie presentation, Moran examines real historical crimes from the colonial and early republic eras—offering a window into the early justice system, shifting social values, and the lasting imprint of inequality. Drawing on archival documents, period images, and modern photography, guests will analyze true stories that reveal much about the world our ancestors inhabited. History lovers and true crime fans alike will come away with fresh insights—and perhaps a few chills. Come curious… and brace yourself for the unexpected.

This event is free, but seating is limited—please reserve your spot in advance.
We suggest a donation of $15 to support the Sunday Salon Series and the work of the Ulster County Historical Society. You can contribute online when you RSVP or donate at the event itself via cash, check, or credit card.
